To all competitors and followers of the Great Texas 300 Catamaran
Race:

Registration for the 2012 10th running of the GT300 is now open!

I am proud to announce that this year we are using a new on-line
registration system through RegattaTech.   The forms have been
customized for our event.  This eliminates the need for any checks,
paper work, snail mail, and handling of funds.  All payments are
handled securely via credit card transaction.  The new system greatly
simplifies the process and reduces the amount of effort required to
complete and manage registration and merchandising while improving
accuracy and delivery of your orders.

You will find a link on our gt300.com website to the registration
site.  Here you can see entries list and access two on-line forms, one
for merchandise and one for registration.  The merchandise form allows
anyone to purchase items for sale outside of the registration form.
As in the past for convenience you will be able to buy extras when you
submit your registration form.  A confirmation of your registration
will be emailed to you with a link so that you may update information
as necessary.  However, further “extras” purchasing can only be done
through the merchandise form after your submitted registration
payment.

There are only a few fields necessary to submit your preliminary
registration, but please be as complete as possible.   This is a
convenience feature as some teams may not yet have selected team
members or may need to change.  Accurate completion of all fields is
necessary for your final registration to be valid and to compete in
the event.   There will be a cutoff date announced so that we can
order T-shirt sizes and prepare a contacts quick reference sheet.

There is now only a single release form to be signed by skipper, crew,
and manger.  This must be completed and delivered at the onsite
registration.  You will find a link to this at the bottom of the
registration.

All physical merchandise must be picked up during on-site registration
if you are identified with a team.  Otherwise, you must arrange to
pick up your order during the event from the beach captain.

During the process you will be able to contact RegattaTech for
technical issues.  You may contact me for questions otherwise.

I look forward to your favorable response to our new system.

Thanks,
Mike Rohrer
